One of Musk’s most visionary innovations in solar energy is the Tesla Solar Roof—a product that replaces traditional shingles with durable, energy-generating tiles. Unlike bulky rooftop panels, the Solar Roof is designed to blend seamlessly with the home’s architecture.
Although production and installation have faced delays, recent advancements in manufacturing have allowed Tesla to scale Solar Roof deployment, with thousands of installations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Musk believes that if Solar Roofs can become cost-competitive with traditional roofing, mass adoption could be transformative.
